SFRBO Instructor

The Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Boat Operator Instructor pathway is designed for rescue professionals who want to teach the full suite of boat classes - RBO, FRBO, and SFRBO - and includes flat/slow moving water rescue techniques, fllod rescue techniques and swiftwater rescue techniques.

Prerequisites:

  • Logged experience of powerboat operations (1 year)
  • Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician (SRT)
  • Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Boat Operator (SFRBO)
  • EMT or Advanced First Aid qualification

Instructor Training

  • Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Boat Operator Instructor training (30 hours/5 days)

Instructor Assessment

  • Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Boat Operator Instructor assessment (18 hours/3 days)
